Porous Pipe

Porous pipe is made in England from reconstituted car tyres. It works efficiently at 0 5bar (7'/2 psi.) Porous pipe does not work at high pressure At 0 5bar water slowly soaks into the growing medium (i.e soil, sand, capillary matting, etc) along the whole length of the pipe at a rate of approximately 2 litres to 4 litres per metre per hour Maximum of 50 metres in any one run (100 metres if water is supplied from both ends). Water penetrates through the soil between 30cm-45cm either side of the pipe, depending on the soil type and condition. Porous pipe can either be laid on the surface or buried. Porous pipe is compatible with all barbed & hose fittings size 16mm. Actual bore size is about 1/2".
